Beechtree Motel, Taupo

Upon arrival, I noticed a slight stinky smell in the rooms which could benefit from some air fresheners. The lack of milk was a bit of a downside, and the room felt a bit dark and cold without much sunlight. It would have been nice if the room had been warmed up prior to our arrival.

The hotel had a big balcony, but the private courtyard was missing. The location was excellent, close to the lake and main shopping center, although it's right next to the road. The service was amazing, and the big undercover parking was a nice touch. The rooms were spacious, but lacking the advertised private courtyard, which we didn't need anyway for our stay.

The hotel is situated in a convenient location with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The rooms, although small, were suitable for a peaceful night's rest. The service was prompt but with an unusual payment arrangement. The dining options were basic, and the proximity to the lake and dining establishments made up for the distance to the center. However, being close to the road was a downside.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, but some repairs were needed, and it was a bit cold upon arrival. The service was outstanding, particularly when they went out of their way to address noisy neighbors. The location was convenient with a nice view, though privacy could have been better. The dining experience was good, especially with fresh local fish. Overall, a decent choice with room for improvement.
